Well, school has been out for a month and summer is in full swing.
We gave Sam his "summer" hair cut.
BEFORE:

AFTER:
see how much happier he is.
Luke has been working hard on his "farmer" tan and his tow-head.

So what have we been doing with ourselves this summer?
Sam finished his first season of baseball last week. He liked playing baseball because his team won most of their games. How he knows this I don't know, because no one kept score. An inning consisted of each kid on the team getting a turn to bat and everyone running home and then same for the opposing team. There were no outs, they were just learning how to play the game. He knew that his soccer team did not win a single game, so he was happy that is baseball team did much better. His favorite position to play was catcher, because he got to sit down. He also said he liked baseball better because "you didn't have to run as much". :-)

Sam also went to a Star Wars day camp, and he is now a Jedi Master. He is really into Star Wars right now. He loves to play the Lego Star Wars game on the Wii and he just finished watching the original Star Wars movie and The Empire Strikes Back with Jared. The other day I overheard him asking a couple of his friends if they "had ever seen a REAL Jedi Master?" The kids weren't sure what to say, so Sam quickly followed with, "because there is one standing right in front of you!" Here he is at "Yoda's Swamp" following his last day of Jedi training:
The kids also did swimming lessons. Jane did really good floating on her back, but did not care to put her face in the water to blow bubbles. Sam had lots of fun in his class because one of his friends ended up being there too.

I was able to go to a local day spa with my mom, sister, and sister- in- law and get a pedicure. It was oh so nice! It was fun to get pampered and do a very "girly" thing for a night out with the girls.
So what comes next for our summer of fun? Well, the answer to that would be new baby. Just a little over two weeks left.

I noticed your cute toes today, and wondered if you had done them yourself! I'm glad you got to have a girls night out before the baby comes.
