After lots of wiggling, Sam has finally lost his FIRST tooth! I'm pretty sure that all of his friends have lost a tooth, if not multiple teeth, long before he did. He asked many questions about where exactly he should put his tooth under the pillow and should he put his tooth in an envelope for the tooth fairy, etc. Sam must have done everything right, because he was very happy to find some money under his pillow in place of his tooth. I think he's been telling some of the neighbor kids that he saw the tooth fairy... and apparently she's very tiny.

While we are talking about Sam-- he had his FIRST day of FIRST grade. He seems to be enjoying school and has adjusted to being in school all day much better than I thought he would. There are plenty of kids he knows in his class and his teacher is really nice. I'm not sure how I feel about having a kid in the first grade though.

Jane also had her FIRST day of pre-school. She was very excited to go to the same pre-school Sam went to. I love to hear about her day and see what's in her backpack when she gets home.
Here are some of Ruby's FIRST smiles...so goofy and sweet and precious all at the same time. I especially love the little coo's she make when she smiles.

I can't leave Luke out of the post, so here are some pictures of Luke's FIRST mud bath. That boy loves being outside, and if there is water and dirt to be found, even better!
